MRP transparentné farby – recenzia / MRP transparent paints review

Nedávno sa nám do redakcie dostala sada transparentných farieb MRP, rozhodli sme sa ich vyskúšať a napísať o nich pár riadkov.

Short time ago, we received a set of MRP transparent paints at the editorial and we decided to try them and write few words about them.

Farby sú na vysokom štandarde celej produkcie MRP, sú nariedené priamo do pištole, schnú takmer okamžite a povrch po nastriekaní je veľmi jemný. Miestami by som uvažoval o ich miernom nariedení, miestami kryli až príliš, pri niektorých efektoch by modelár potreboval nanášať jemnejšie vrstvy.

Paints are at high standard of MRP’s production, they are pre-thinned for the airbrush, get dry almost immediately and the surface is very fine. Sometimes I would think about thinning them even more, to create some effects modeller would need to apply thinner layers.

Prvou vecou, ktorú som skúsil, bolo napodobenie tepelného ovplyvnenia povrchu na tryskách prúdových motorov. Práve pri tomto efekte budú pravdepodobne potrebné tenšie vrstvy nariedenej farby. Na hliníkový povrch som v pásoch naniesol štyri odtiene farieb. Praví lietadielkári by to zvládli určite oveľa lepšie, ale aj ja ako technikár som mal z toho dobrý pocit.

First thing I’ve decided to try was imitation of thermal influence at the jet engine surfaces. Right at this effect, maybe thinner layers of paint would be necessary. To the aluminium surface a sprayed four tones of paint in stripes. Of course, true airplane modellers would make it better, but I as an AFV modeller had good feeling about it.   

Druhou vecou, ktorú som vyskúšal, bolo prifarbenie krytu kabíny na žlto. Toto by malo byť využiteľné najmä pri modeloch moderných stíhačiek, ktoré nemajú kryt kabíny úplne bezfarebný, ale výrobcovia tento detail nerešpektujú. Použitie farieb na toto bolo absolútne bezproblémové.

Second thing I’ve tried was painting the cockpit canvas with yellow paint. This should be usable when modern jets haven’t got absolutely clear cockpit canvas, but manufacturers ignore this detail. Using paints for this purpose was absolutely without problems.  

Na radu Reného Molnára (majiteľ MRP) som si skúsil červeno-hnedou farbou „predpatinovať“ povrch a následne ho v zľahka dopatinovať jednou hrdzavou farbou. Výsledkom som bol ohromený.

By advice of René Molnár (owner of MRP) I’ve tried to pre-weather the surface using red-brown paint. Then I quickly weathered part of the surface using only one oil color. I was amazed by the result.

Po krátkych testoch som sa rozhodol použiť farby „na ostro“ na svojich rozpracovaných modeloch. Červeno-hnedú, žlto-zelenú a žltú som použil na farebné odlíšenie ERA kociek na sýrskom BMP. Čiernu som použil na zadymenie kanónu a mriežok na T-80.

After short tests I’ve decided to use these paints directly on my WIP models. I used red-brown, yellow-green and yellow to differentiate ERA bricks on Syrian BMP. I also used black paint for end of T-80’s canon and grilles. 

René mi ešte poslal fotografiu svojho K-700, na ktorom tak isto použil trasparentné farby na predpatinovanie povrchu.

René sent me a photo of his K-700, on which he also used transparent paints to pre-weather the surface.

S farbami som bol veľmi spokojný, pracovalo sa s nimi výborne a myslím že si nájdu uplatnenie u lietadielkárov, ale aj bojovkárov.

I was very satisfied with these paints, working with them wet well and I thing that aircraft modellers and also AFV modellers will find them useful.
